This Android Trojan Malware stealing your Banks OTP, password, SMS and call logs

• The Malware is known as "Android.banker.A9480". This is very harmful for net banking users.
• It can steal yourl login information, username,passwords,SMS, contact lists mostly of Banking apps.
• As many as 232 Banking apps are effected and not only Banking apps cryptocurrency apps are in the radar and some are affected too.

An Android malware is targeting over 232 banking apps including some Indian Banking 🏦 apps. The report comes from Quick heal that A Android Trojan Malware named "Android.banking.A9480" is designed to steal users data. Similar to other banking malware the "Android.banking.A9480" can steal your login data OTP, password, SMS, contact list and may upload to malicious servers and can create serious problems. Apart from this the malware can sneak on users cryptocurrency apps.

"Android.banker.A9480 malware gets circulated via a fake Flash Player app on third-party stores, Quick Heal said. The Flash Player app is a popular target for cybercriminals due to its prevalence. Once users download the malicious application, they get several prompts to activate administrative rights. The app sends numerous pop-ups to victims until the administrative privileges are activated" - QUick heal's report added.

Axis mobile, HDFC Bank MobileBanking, SBI Anywhere Personal, HDFC Bank MobileBanking LITE, iMobile by ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank GO Mobile+, Abhay by IDBI Bank Ltd, IDBI Bank GO Mobile, IDBI Bank mPassbook, Baroda mPassbook, Union Bank Mobile Banking, and Union Bank.

What's next be alert and you should take care of this things like -

1. We should never install apps outside play store. If we then it's our responsibility to choose a trusted source.
2. Always turn off the unknown source  app installations button in settings for extra security.
3. Make sure you are not giving unusual permission for any third party apps in your smartphone.
4. Always focus on which app is trying to turn on unnecessary accessability  permission. If you think suspicious then just turn off the switch for the app.
5. Use password managers to protect from data stealing. Ex - lastpass. They can provide you extra level of security.

This is the lite version of Google app. The app is very small in size and can operate in low RAM and low Network speed areas. The app comes with some solid features and some extra customization. They also added offline save option. This app also comes with some cards like news, weather, Wikipedia, and more. And the app is just 4.5 MB in size.

Google Go definitely is a great option to replace its big brother. But i think people with low ram device might have a try to Google Go. But definitely it is one of the best Android app of 2017.

Facebook 'Snooze' button can mute annoying posts for 30 days

Facebook just introduce 'snooze' button. The Facebook 'snooze' button was started rolling out back in September. The 'snooze' Button can help you mute any friends post for 30 days. Now it's available globally in Facebook app . Not in the lite version for now.

The button will help you to stop seeing particular posts from a person, page, or group for 30 days without unfriending a Friend, unliking a page or leaving from a Group. The button doesn't harm your news feed rather just stop display their posts in your news feed for 30 days.

The button can easily found in top right corner of a post. Then you just need to press the snooze button and the page person or group will automatically unfollowed and you will not find any posts from them next time you visit Facebook.

"With Snooze, you don't have to unfollow or unfriend permanently, rather just stop seeing someone's posts for a short period of time. The people, Pages, and groups you snooze will not create notifications or posts in your News. You will be notified before the Snooze period is about to end and the setting can also be reversed at any time," said Shruthi Muraleedharan, Product Manager - Facebook in a blog post.
